Student Cells are at the heart of student ministry at Kings – if Kings is your church in Durham, cell is the first place to get involved.
Cells are midweek small groups (usually 8-12 people) which provide the opportunity for small group discipleship, bible study and prayer together. They are led by students and run every week during uni term time – except the first week of term when we have Student Gathering together as a whole student body!
Cells meet on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings usually in homes around the city but gather together with the other cells on their respective nights a few times a term for a Cluster Night. This provides a place for students to participate in Christian community in a context smaller than the Sunday meetings but bigger than a cell: a place for worship, learning and fellowship.
Join a Cell
The best way to get involved in a cell is to sign up to Kings if you haven’t done so already. Otherwise, let the student team know and they’ll be in touch as soon as possible.
Tuesday & Wednesday Cells
The Tuesday & Wednesday Evening Cells usually meet in homes around the city, but come together a few times a term for a Cluster Night, gathering as a larger group on their respective evenings.
Thursday Cells
The Thursday Evening Cells always meet together as a larger group at 7.15pm at The Appleby Rooms during term time.
The gathering includes a time of worship, a talk from the bible, then time in cells for bible study, discussion and prayer.
