June Project 2025
Resident Involvement
June Project is our annual week of teaching, training, community outreach, evangelism & events in Durham, bringing together many aspects of the year round life & mission of the church.

How can I get involved this year?

Part Time Sign Up
If you’re able, around work and/or child-care commitments, to get involved with the rest of the delegate team we’d love to have you. Please sign up and indicate what days you can do and what you’d like to be apart of.

After School Club
This year, we aim to support parents and carers who want to participate in the June Project outreach. On Wednesday and Thursday, we’ll host an afterschool club for the children of parents and carers involved in sharing about Jesus with Durham and joining the street outreach. The club will be held at St Oswald’s Institute from 3:30pm (with flexible drop-off) until 5:00pm, for preschool and school-aged children. Spaces are limited, so please sign up soon!

Support Team
If you want to help move things or people, bake for events, help with some logistics and behind the scenes work that makes JP work so well, we’d love to have you sign up and let us know what you are able to contribute!

Family Outreach
No matter the age of your family there are opportunities to get involved together to share God’s love to the communities of our city. This not only is a powerful witness but shows to our kids and young people that going out in mission as a team is the norm! Let us know what your requirements are and we will accommodate where we can.

Cell Group Flyering
We’ve heard from those who have come to our Fun Days that the only way they knew about it was because a flyer came through their door. We’d love resident cell groups to help in flyering your local area and inviting people along to our big community family Fun Days across the city. Speak to your cell leaders for what this might look like for your group.

Helping out at Fun Days
Our Fun Days have often been the catalyst that have seen people join our church and come to faith. We’d love to encourage cell groups to help with aspects of our Fun Days in Newton Hall and Sherburn Road. This could be anything from running a prayer space, to face painting or helping flip burgers! Again speak to your cell leader for what this could be for your group.

Youth Outreach
Youth Outreach is for young people in secondary school to step out and do mission and outreach in Durham, as well as having fun together and eating ice cream. Contact youth@kcd.org.uk if you’d like more information and sign up if you want to get involved.
