Hello!

Welcome! King’s Church is a lively, Bible-based community church serving the City of Durham, made up of families, singles, and students from a range of backgrounds.

We’re excited to get to know you and welcome you into our church community!

Sundays

We love coming together to worship God, hear from His Word and respond to the Spirit at our Sunday Gatherings! Coming along on a Sunday is the best way to get a feel of what Kings is like.

Cell Groups

At King’s we believe in the importance of both large and small expressions of church.  Cell groups embody our core church values in being Bible-based, Spirit-filled, missional communities.

Men’s & Women’s Ministries

We love to encourage men and women to pursue wholehearted discipleship of Jesus together, seeking his Kingdom whoever we are, wherever we are and whatever we’re doing for him. Get in touch if you’d like to find out more about our men’s & women’s ministries and to get involved!

Youth & Kids Ministries

We aim to provide a safe space for children and young people to discover a faith in Jesus for themselves and to learn to follow him, while having fun and building friendships in church.

Mission & Community

At Kings we seek to witness to the gospel of Jesus across Durham City, in the University and beyond. Some of the ways we do this include:

• Holiday Club
• Weekly Intern Outreach (others are welcome to join in!)

Training

Kings has considerable experience of providing high quality church-based theological teaching. 

The widely-recognised King’s Church Durham Internship Programme is designed to produce godly leaders with a passion for the gospel, the Bible, the Church and mission. We also offer a School of Theology programme, which draws on highly qualified teaching staff for an excellent programme of face to face theological education and training.
